Tory Anderson

Class of 2009

After earning her B.S. Degree in Family Studies from the University of Arizona in 2001, Tory began her professional career with families and children in crisis as a Crisis Counselor for Our Town Family Center in Tucson.  In 2001, Tory began work for Child Protective Services in Phoenix.  Tory worked with families and children in many different roles; including a case manager, investigator, unit supervisor, and hotline specialist.  
 
Tory earned her MPA from Arizona State University in 2004.  She completed an internship with Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon’s Office prior to graduating.  In 2005, Tory was hired as a budget analyst for Governor Napolitano’s Office of Strategic Planning and Budgeting.  There, she learned about the legislative process, state budgeting, and analysis.  
 
Tory is currently the Assistant Commissioner for Policy and Special Projects at the Arizona Department of Real Estate.  She enjoys creating good public policy by involving members of the public, the industry, and the State in the policy-making process. 
 
Tory is married and lives in Goodyear with her husband Phill and daughter Audrey (3).  She enjoys hiking, yoga, politics, and the internet.  She volunteered for Barack Obama, Harry Mitchell, Tim Nelson, Bob Lord, Angela Cotera, and the West Valley Democrats.
