Lindsey Bell

Class of 2010

Lindsay Bell retired from full time employment in 2008 after working 30 plus years in the non profit sector. Ms. Bell’s work experience was primarily in the administration of publicly funded human service programs including employment programs, disability services and behavioral health programs. Currently, she is volunteering part time with a small non profit transportation company (Territorial Transit, Inc.) that is working with other agencies in the area to establish a regional public transit system.
Lindsay holds a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and a Masters in Public Administration. Both degrees were conferred by Arizona State University.
Ms. Bell has been a resident of Prescott for the past 37 years and has been involved in the community throughout her residency. She has served on several City of Prescott planning committees including the 1993 Strategic Planning committee, the 1997 and 2003 General Plan committees, and most recently, the Prescott 2050 Visioning Committee. Ms. Bell was elected to the Prescott City Council in 1995 and served in that capacity from 1995 to 1999. She also ran for Mayor in 2005.
Other community involvement includes service on boards of mental health agencies at the local, regional and national level as well as membership on employment related boards including the Yavapai County Private Industry Council (forerunner of the local Workforce Investment Board) and the State Rehabilitation Council. Lindsay is married to Max Bell, a retired social worker.  She and Max have two grown daughters.
